A look into the past

in 1794 Johann Steffen began to grow grapes in Trittenheim. He was only able to do this with the help of his family. Many years passed and then in the 1910s the first bottling was done. The Second World War slowed down the family wine house and first decades later, in 1945, the business had to be rebuilt. The brothers Johann and Peter Steffen were helped by the winery's motto: "The family is at the center". And together they laid the foundation for the family business Gebrüder Steffen.

Now a look at the present

In addition to the wines of the Middle Moselle, the Gebrüder Steffen w inery also vinifies and markets selected wines from the surrounding growing regions. The father-son team Hans and Roman Steffen are currently working hand in hand on the future of the wine house. Together, they visit surrounding towns and exchange ideas with grape producers. Father and son can also be found in the vineyard.

Using modern methods

Thanks to modern analytical methods in the winemaking process, the Steffen brothers are able to vinify top-quality wines. The air-conditioned wine cellars also contribute to the high quality of the wines. But of course, the Steffen Brothers wine house does not rely on modernity alone. The art of the cellar master also contributes to making wines of the highest quality.
