More information about Wetmore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon - Wente Vineyards

The barrel-aged Wetmore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from the viticultural region of California reveals itself in the glass in dense purple. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which is evident in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. This U.S. cuvée shows wonderfully expressive notes of black currants, blackberries, blueberries and plums in the glass. These are joined by hints of brown bread, vanilla and cinnamon.

The Wente Vineyards Wetmore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine beyond the supermarkets, this North American naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. The finale of this red wine from the wine-growing region of California, which is capable of aging well, finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the clay and gravel dominated soils.

Vinification of the Wetmore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Wente Vineyards

This powerful red wine from the USA is cuvetiert from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Durif, Malbec and Petit Verdot. In California, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and gravel. After the grapes are harvested, they are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Wetmore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is allowed to further harmonize in small wood for 16 months.

Food recommendation for the Wente Vineyards Wetmore Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Drink this red wine from the USA ideally tempered at 15 - 18 ° C as a companion to cabbage roulades, pasta with sausage dumplings or vegetable stew with pesto.
