More information

Niepoort 's White 10 Years Old Port is vinified from Arinto, Códega, Gouveio, Rabigato, Viosinho and other white Portuguese grape varieties.

In the glass, this port shines in a radiant gold with sparkling highlights. The expressive bouquet reveals notes of dry fruit - especially the dried fig comes to the fore - as well as orange peels. This is accompanied by aromas of roasted walnuts and caramelised almonds. Floral nuances complete the complex spectrum of aromas. The palate is flattered by the fine and balanced personality. The lively acidity harmonizes perfectly with the balanced sweetness.

Vinification of Niepoort White 10 Years Old Port

The various grapes for this port wine are carefully picked by hand and brought to the wine cellar of Niepoort. There, the grapes remain on the mash for a long time and are pressed with their feet according to traditional methods. With the addition of brandy, this white port is stored in large wooden fodder for a total of one year. Maturation takes place after storage for 7 to 15 years in traditional oak barrels.
