More information

In the glass, Niepoort's White Port is revealed in a beautiful dark gold tone. This port is vinified from Arinto, Códega, Gouveio, Rabigato, Viosinho and other white Portuguese grape varieties.

The nose of this port wine fills with a fresh aroma of nuts and hints of dried fruit. This port nestles half-dry on the palate and reflects the optimal interaction with the brandy, which gives this port wine the outstanding structure.

Vinification of Niepoort

White Port The different grapes are harvested

exclusively by hand. After the white grapes lay on the mash for a certain time, they are gently pressed. This is partly done using the traditional method with the feet. Then brandy is added and the White Port is stored for twelve months in large wooden feeds. Before this port wine is bottled, it matures for at least three more years in smaller, old oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Niepoort 's White Port

Try this semi-dry port wine as an aperitif with ice-cooled tonic (1/3 port and 2/3 tonic), as an accompaniment to desserts (pastries, cakes, chocolate) or as a digestif.
