The Argentine winery Alamos

Argentina in a wine glass...

... thanks to Alamos Winery

For over 100 years,Alamos has always strived to bring every wine connoisseur a little closer to Argentina. Intensive research and unbridled passion are behind every single bottle of Alamos. In the high altitudes at the foot of the Andes, this winery produces flavorful, approachable and authentic Argentine wines.

The Mendoza growing region

The mountains on the label are a tribute to the high, mountainous landscape of Mendoza. The Alamos (Spanish for poplars) border the high altitude vineyards (1000 to 3000 meters) of Mendoza and Salta. There are few wine growing areas that have the combination of altitude, climate, sun exposure and natural irrigation. The Alamos winery has recognized this combination and creates wonderful wines year after year.

The vineyards of Alamos in Mendoza

The winemaker behind the wines

A lifelong resident of Mendoza, Lucía Vaieretti has deep roots in winemaking. This is because her family has been involved in viticulture for 40 years now, and she was involved in the vineyards from a young age. This was the basis for her deep and joyful attachment to the vineyards of Mendoza.

"Even then I knew we were in a special place." (Lucía Vaieretti)

Varietal wines

Alamos gives us varietally pure, hand-picked, selected and carefully vinified wines. Of course, in an Argentinean winery, the grape varieties typical of the country must be

  • Malbec
  • Torrontes

not be missing. But also look forward to the red wine from Cabernet Sauvignon and the white wine from Chardonnay.
