Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza - Alamos

Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina's Mendoza wine region is a varietal, well-structured and harmonious red wine. 

In the glass, this wine delights with a dark purple color and ruby reflections. Intense ripe red berry fruits, such as raspberries and blackberries, and sweet spices like vanilla and cinnamon, accented by a hint of tobacco, fill the nose. On the palate, this Argentine red wine shines with good structure and a nice backbone. Substantial aromas of red currant and cassis, underpinned by notes of cedar and leather, prance across the tongue. The fine-grained tannin, gives this wine its wonderful structure and accompany into the pleasantly long finish. 

Vinification of the Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon

This single varietal red wine comes from the high altitudes of the winery and is hand harvested and gently pressed. This is followed by cold maceration for one day and subsequent alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Further aging takes place for another 6 to 9 months in French and American oak barriques.
