Malbec Grande Reserve - Domaine Bousquet

Domaine Bousquet's Gran Malbec from Argentina's Tupungato wine region in Mendoza is a seductive, complex and excellent red wine cuvée vinified from organically grown grapes. 

In the glass, this wine shimmers an intense purple with dark purple highlights and black core. The nose reveals a deep and complex bouquet. Expressive aromas of cassis, blueberries, plums, vegetal notes of sarsaparilla and spices unfold. On the palate, this Argentine red wine presents a fresh aroma of ripe fruit enveloped by soft, juicy tannins. The body exudes a wonderful elegance that remains present until the long-lasting finish. 

Vinification of the Bousquet Gran Malbec

This red wine is vinified from mainly organically grown Malbec grapes. Small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah are added. The vines grow in the vineyard Alto Gualtallary - Tupungato - at an altitude of 1200 meters. The soils are rich in sand and gravel. 

At the end of April, the grapes are carefully harvested by hand and immediately brought to the winery of Bousquet. There, the grapes are manually selected and then cold macerated for 72 to 92 hours at 10 degrees Celsius. The must is then fermented in stainless steel tanks for 12 days and macerated again for 20 days. This wine undergoes 100% malolactic fermentation. Once the fermentation process is complete, this wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels.
