More information about Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana IGT - Marchesi Antinori

In the glass, Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana, created by Marchesi Antinori from Tuscany, presents a bright, ruby-red color. When you swirl the glass, you can perceive an excellent balance in this red wine, as it does not appear watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. In the glass, this red wine from Marchesi Antinori reveals aromas of blackberries, black cherries, black currants, mulberries and blueberries, complemented by black tea, gingerbread spice and cigar box. On the palate, Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana by Marchesi Antinori opens wonderfully dry, firm and aromatic. There is dry and really dry. This red wine belongs to the second group, as it was bottled with only 1.5 g of residual sugar. Balanced and multi-layered, this melting, dense and velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its balanced acidity, Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana caresses the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking juicy liveliness. The finish of this well age-worthy red wine from the winegrowing region of Tuscany, more precisely from Toscana IGT, ultimately convinces with a remarkable length.

Vinification of Marchesi Antinori Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana

This well-balanced red wine from Italy is cuvéeed from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Syrah. Without question, Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana is also shaped by the climatic and stylistic factors of Toscana IGT. This Italian can quite literally be described as an Old World wine, which presents itself in an extraordinarily impressive way. The ripeness of the grapes for this wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Syrah is to a very large extent influenced by the climate of the growing region. In Tuscany, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high must weight. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand at optimal ripeness. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by 18 months of maturation in barriques made from French, American and Hungarian oak. After barrel aging, the wine undergoes considerable bottle aging, which makes this red wine even more complex.

Food recommendation for Marchesi Antinori Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana

This Italian should ideally be enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfectly suited as a companion to spaghetti with caper-tomato sauce, duck breast with sugar snap peas or leek soup.
