More information about Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana IGT 3,0 l Doppelmagnum - Marchesi Antinori

In the glass, the Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum from Marchesi Antinori reveals a bright ruby red color. Held at a slight angle, the Bordeaux glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue at the rims. If you swirl the wine glass, you can perceive a first-class balance in this red wine, as it is neither watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the glass walls. The first nose of the Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum reveals notes of blackberries, blueberries and blackcurrants. The fruity aspects of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.

The Marchesi Antinori Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum is wonderfully dry for the wine drinker. This red wine is never coarse or austere, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully melting, velvety and dense. Thanks to the moderate fruit acidity, the Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum flatters the palate with a pleasing sensation without lacking in juicy liveliness. On the finish, this wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region, which has good ageing potential, finally impresses with its considerable length. Once again, there are hints of plum and blueberry.

Vinification of the Marchesi Antinori Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum

Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Syrah grapes form the basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum cuvée from Marchesi Antinori. The Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum is clearly characterized by more than just the Toscana IGT soil. This Italian wine can literally be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an exceptionally impressive way. The maturation of the grapes for this wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese and Syrah is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Tuscany, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a rather high must weight. When perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for the Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum is aged for a further 18 months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels. The ageing in oak barrels is followed by extensive bottle ageing, which makes this red wine even more complex.

Recommendation for Marchesi Antinori Villa Antinori Rosso Toscana 3.0 l double magnum

Ideally enjoy this red wine from Italy at a temperature of 15 - 18°C as an accompaniment to vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs or boeuf bourguignon.
