More information about Malbec Mendoza - Alamos
Alamos Malbec is a complex, balanced and varietal red wine from Argentina's Mendoza wine region.
This wine pleases the eye with a dark, purple, shimmering color. On the nose, this wine offers black cherry aromas with light floral notes of violets and a hint of toast. On the palate, this Argentine red wine provides a full, smooth feel. The palate is reminiscent of ripe, concentrated fruit flavors of cassis and blackberries, mixed with a hint of chocolate and some sweet spice from oak aging. The finish is accompanied by ripe, silky tannins.
Vinification of the Alamos Malbec
The grapes for this single-varietal Malbec come from vineyards located at altitudes between 900 and 1500 meters above sea level.
There, the grapes are manually selected and harvested in two passes. This is followed by cold maceration and alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for two days. The aging is carried out for another 6 to 9 months in barriques of French and American oak. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in these.
