More information about Apothic Red - Apothic Wines

The goal of the winemakers behind Apothic Wines is to create wines with character that appeal to a broad mass at the same time. To this end, winemaker Debbie Juergenson relies on the characteristics of the individual grape varieties, which flow into the wines of Apothic. So today they have created the extraordinary cuvées Apothic Red and Dark, one fruity, the other rather tart. The gothic charm of the labels, reminiscent of the dark, mysterious Middle Ages, gives the wines another unique selling point. An ideal companion for a historical evening or the next scary movie!

The Apothic Red from Apothic Wines from California offers a bright, purple color in the swirled glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from the USA offers wonderfully fragrant aromas of black cherry, mulberry, plum and blueberry, rounded off by cinnamon, vanilla and oriental spices.

The Apothic Wines Apothic Red shows us an incredibly fruit-forward flavor on the palate, which is not without reason due to its residual sweetness flavor profile. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Apothic Red flatters the palate with a velvety feel, without lacking freshness at the same time. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of California finally convinces with good reverberation.

Vinification of the Apothic Wines Apothic Red

The balanced Apothic Red from the USA is a cuvée, made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Primitivo and Shiraz. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Apothic Red can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for a few months...
