The perlage of this Crémant sparkles in the glass with an extremely fine, elegant and long-lasting effervescence. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this French wine enchants with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. This light Crémant presents itself balanced and multi-faceted on the palate. The finish of this sparkling wine from the Languedoc wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful aftertaste.
Vinification of the Gerard Bertrand Ballerine Crémant de Limoux
The basis for the balanced Ballerine Crémant de Limoux from the Languedoc are grapes from the Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir varieties. The Ballerine Crémant de Limoux is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this French wine exudes an exceptional European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The ripeness of the grapes for this wine made from Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir is influenced to a not insignificant extent by the climate of the growing region. In the Languedoc, the grapes thrive in a warm climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly well-ripened grapes and a relatively high must weight. The wine berries for this sparkling wine from France are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. Immediately after harvesting, the grapes are brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently pressed. The base wines are then fermented.
