The Pinotage of Barista from the South African wine-growing region Western Cape is an exceptional, varietal and fashionable red wine, which interprets the characteristic South African grape Pinotage in in coffee style.
In the glass, this wine has a rich ruby red color with purple highlights. The nose enjoys an expressive bouquet that reveals intense fruity aromas of ripe mulberries, juicy plums and maraschino cherries - perfectly underpinned by sweet notes of vanilla, espresso and mocha chocolate. The wonderful aromatics continue on the palate, melding with the juicy tannins and soft texture. The substantial body also knows how to present itself and accompanies into the pleasantly spicy long finish.
Vinification of the Barista Pinotage
Responsible for this red wine is the cellar master Bertus Fourie, who uses Pinotage grapes from Robertson. This wine is vinified at the Val de Vie winery. The grapes are classically fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in French oak barrels after the fermentation process is complete.
