More information about Boal 10 Years Old - Vinhos Justino Henriques

The expressive, single-varietal Boal 10 Years Old from Vinhos Justino Henriques hails from the small island of Madeira.

In the glass, this wine shines with a lovely, appealing amber color. The aromatic bouquet is marked by notes of almonds, fine chocolate, dried fruit and a subtle hint of smoke. These aromas from the nose are echoed on the palate. The powerful body harmonizes wonderfully with the present acidity, which gives this Madeira a marvelous freshness. The finish is wonderfully long and persistent.

Vinification of Justino Henriques Boal

The Boal vines are 20–25 years old and grow at an altitude of 700 m. The volcanic soils are rich in clay and loam.

After harvesting and selection, the grapes are fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This wine is then aged for about 10 years in used wooden casks. This Madeira is blended from several wines, all of which were produced individually from white grapes and which have each spent at least 10 years in oak barrels before bottling.

Food recommendation for Boal Justino Henriques 10 Years Old

Enjoy this sweet Madeira with all kinds of desserts featuring fresh nuts and caramel sauce. It also pairs excellently with pâtés and mature, creamy cheeses.
