Bruno Giacosa - a diamond, in the middle of Piedmont

The Bruno Giacosa winery stands like no other in Piedmont for award-winning top wines and crus from the Barolo and Barbaresco growing regions. The winery is located in the small town of Neive. Bruno Giacosa's passion, wisdom and foresight combine the work of three generations of winemakers and a long history of a French-style negociant. A historical passion, grown among the best vineyards of the Langa, always in search of the best grapes to buy to make excellent wines. Exclusively red wines from Nebbiolo grapes. Some of these vineyards were acquired over time, the wine was thus vinified from their own grapes. Like the renowned Azienda Agricola Falletto vineyard, which has been part of Bruno Giacosa's estate since the 1980s, also Barolo sites in Serralunga d'Alba and prestigious cru sites in Barbaresco such as Asili and Rabjà.

Already since 1984, his daughter Bruna has been at his side, sharing the same passion, supported by the oenologist Dante Scaglione. Since that time, in addition to red wines, the winery's offer has expanded to include the production of excellent sparkling wines fermented in bottle according to the classic method.

To this day, there is a line that goes by the name of Bruno Giacosa Wine House, which has always processed grapes from supplying winegrowers, and the wines of Azienda Agricola Falletto from its own cultivation and production.

In the 60's it was Bruno Giacosa and Angelo Gaja who took a new direction and showed the qualitative potential of the region. Bruno Giacosa created Barolo and Barbaresco Riserva, which to this day are surrounded by a myth and stand out for their characteristic touch of austerity, fruity sweetness and impressive structure.

Bruno Giacosa passed away in his 89th year in early 2018, and his work lives on with his daughter Bruna. His love for wine, his ability and intuition for great wines, the pursuit of perfection without compromise in all processes and the unmistakable style of Bruno Giacosa's wines are the focus yesterday as today and are at the same time the history and the goal of the winery and the people who run it.
