More information about Bucephalus Red Blend - Black Stallion Estate
With the Black Stallion Estate Bucephalus Red Blend, a first-class red wine finds its way into the glass. It reveals a wonderfully dense, ruby-red color. At the rim, there is also a color transition towards brick red. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high density and richness, which shows in pronounced church windows on the glass. Poured into a red wine glass, this red wine from the USA presents wonderfully expressive aromas of blackberry and violet, rounded off by cedarwood, coffee/mocha, and cocoa contributed by barrel aging.
The Black Stallion Estate Bucephalus Red Blend presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine lover. This red wine is never coarse or austere, but rather round and smooth. Powerful and multi-layered, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Thanks to its vibrant acidity, the Bucephalus Red Blend appears wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this highly age-worthy red wine from the California wine-growing region finally delights with exceptional length. Once again, hints of violet and blackberry appear.
Vinification of the Bucephalus Red Blend by Black Stallion Estate
The foundation for the powerful Bucephalus Red Blend from California is grapes from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Syrah varieties. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Bucephalus Red Blend is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
