More information about Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley - Chateau Ste. Michelle

The elegant Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley from the house of Chateau Ste. Michelle flows into the glass with bright purple. The first nose of Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley reveals notes of blueberries, plums and mulberries. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.

On the palate, the Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley from Chateau Ste. Michelle starts wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven and balanced. Balanced and multifaceted, this silky red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley flatters the palate with a soft feeling, without lacking juicy liveliness. In the finish, this youthful from the Washington wine region finally inspires with good length. Once again, hints of plum and black cherry show through. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and volcanic rock join in.

Vinification of the Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley from Chateau Ste. Michelle

Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Syrah grapes are the basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley cuvée from Chateau Ste. Michelle. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Washington. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay, sand and volcanic rock. After the hand harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by 12 months of aging in French and American barrels.
