Ribet Red Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot - Arrogant Frog

The Ribet Red from Arrogant Frog is a wonderfully soft, French red wine cuvée from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%). 

This wine already impresses with its deep ruby color in the glass. The elegant and complex bouquet is reminiscent of black fruits such as blackcurrants, blueberries, cherries and plums, complemented by spicy notes of vanilla and licorice. On the palate, this French red wine is beautifully balanced, with soft, well-integrated tannins and a long finish that brings warm plum nuances.

Vinification of the Arrogant Frog Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

After harvesting the fully ripe grapes, they are first destemmed separately by grape variety, crushed and the mash is fermented under temperature control in stainless steel tanks. After pressing, the two wines are blended. Subsequently, 25% of this cuvée is aged for four months in oak barrels and 75% in stainless steel tanks. After aging in barrel, the Arrogant Frog Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot rounds out in vats for two more months before this red wine is bottled.
