This balanced white wine from France is made from the Chardonnay grape variety. In Burgundy, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. Due to the moderating influence of the nearbyRiver, the grapes ripen more slowly and develop more aromatic partiality. Chablis 1er Cru Grande Cuvée is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The grapes for this white wine from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation for 6 months in French barrels.
