More information about Champagner Brut - Barons de Rothschild

Champagne Brut from Barons de Rothschild is an excellent, great and complex sparkling wine from the French wine-growing region of Champagne, vinified from the grape varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

In the glass, this wine shimmers in an elegant golden hue with light golden highlights. The perlage rises to the surface in fabulously fine bubbles, creating a persistent mousseux. The nose is treated to a magnificent bouquet. Intense aromas of pear, almonds and fresh hazelnuts unfold, perfectly complemented by notes of white flowers and light brioche accents. On the palate, this French sparkling wine presents a lively attack, wonderfully round and with elegant power. All of these components highlight its unique straightforward character.

Vinification of the Barons de Rothschild Champagne Brut

The Chardonnay grapes for this sparkling wine come mainly from crus of the Côte des Blancs Grands and Premiers - the Pinot Noir grapes mainly from Verzenay, Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay and Ambonnay.

After the base wine is cuvéed, the second fermentation begins, the Méthode Champenoise. This champagne is aged on the lees for about 36 months before disgorgement. After disgorgement, this sparkling wine remains in the cellar of Champagne Barons de Rothschild for another 6 months before leaving the winery.

Food recommendation for the Brut Barons de Rothschild Champagne

Enjoy this sparkling wine from France well chilled as an inviting aperitif. But this Champagne is also a delight with lightly seared scallops, shellfish as well as rockfish, risotto and fresh Brie.
