More information about Château Arrogant Frog Rouge AOP - Arrogant Frog

The barrel-aged Château Arrogant Frog Rouge from the Languedoc wine-growing region presents a bright purple color in the glass. Held at a slight angle, a transition of hue toward purple is evident at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. This French cuvée flatters wonderfully expressive notes of morello cherry, black cherry, blueberry and blackberry in the glass. These are joined by hints of cinnamon, oriental spices and cocoa bean.

This dry red wine from Arrogant Frog is perfect for wine lovers who like it absolutely dry. The Château Rouge already comes very close to this, as it was vinified with just 0.6 grams of residual sugar. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense and melting texture. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Château Arrogant Frog Rouge flatters the palate with a soft feeling, without lacking freshness. The finale of this red wine from the Languedoc wine-growing region, more precisely from Limoux, which is capable of aging, finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by clay and limestone.

Vinification of the Arrogant Frog Château Rouge

The balanced Château Rouge from France is a cuvée vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Languedoc. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay, limestone and gravel. Clearly, the Château Rouge is also determined by climate and viticultural style Limoux. This French wine can literally be described as an Old World wine that is exceptionally impressive.

After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive at the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Château Arrogant Frog Rouge is aged for another 8 months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Arrogant Frog Château Rouge

Experience this red wine from France ideally tempered at 15 - 18 ° C as a companion to fried calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce, Thai cucumber salad or rum stew.
