More information about Cordillera Chardonnay - Miguel Torres Chile

In the glass, the Cordillera Chardonnay from Miguel Torres Chile offers a bright golden yellow color. The nose of this Miguel Torres Chile white wine reveals all sorts of grapefruit, apricots, white currants, mirabelles and cherry blossoms. As if that weren't already impressive, walnut, brittle and whole-nut chocolate join in due to the aging in small wooden barrels.

The Miguel Torres Chile Cordillera Chardonnay presents itself to the wine connoisseur wonderfully dry. This white wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully melting, creamy and dense. In the finish, this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of Coquimbo finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of nectarine and lime appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Cordillera Chardonnay from Miguel Torres Chile

The balanced Cordillera Chardonnay from Chile is a single varietal wine made from the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Coquimbo. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. The grapes for this white wine from Chile, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for 6 months in oak barrels.
