In 1996, Dr. Matthias Corvers and his wife Brigitte Corvers-Kauter merged their two wineries in Rüdesheim and Östrich-Winkel. Since then, attention to the excellent Rheingau wines has increased enormously and they are highly convincing. 

The main grape variety grown is Riesling followed by Spätburgunder.
