The powerful Côtes du Rhône Rouge from Château Mont-Redon flows into the glass with a dense purple color. This French cuvée flatters in the glass wonderfully expressive notes of mulberries, black cherries, black currants and blueberries. These are joined by hints of walnut, roasted almond and brittle.

The Château Mont-Redon Côtes du Rhône Rouge presents itself to the wine drinker pleasantly dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. This silky and fleshy red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. Finally, the finish of this red wine from the Rhône Valley wine-growing region delights with a beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the gravel-dominated soils.

Vinification of the Côtes du Rhône Rouge from Château Mont-Redon

The starting point for Château Mont-Redon's premium and wonderfully powerful Côtes du Rhône Rouge cuvée is Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes. In Rhône Valley, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of gravel. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and gently broken up. Fermentation follows in small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months in oak barriques.
