More information about Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc - Château Fontesteau Médoc

In the glass, the Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc from Château Fontesteau Médoc offers a bright purplish-red color. When the glass is held slightly tilted, a transition of the hue towards garnet red can be seen at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. If you swirl it in the glass to give it some air, you can perceive an unparalleled balance in this red wine, since it neither appears watery nor syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. On the nose, this Château Fontesteau Médoc red wine reveals all sorts of blackberries. As if that were not already impressive, further aromas such as black cherry and chocolate are added through aging in small wooden barrels.

On the palate, the Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc from Château Fontesteau Médoc opens wonderfully aromatic, fruit-driven, and balanced. On the tongue, this harmonious red wine is characterized by an immensely dense texture. Thanks to the well-balanced acidity, the Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc caresses the palate with a pleasing sensation without lacking freshness at the same time. The finish of this matured red wine from the Bordeaux region, more precisely from Haut-Médoc, ultimately captivates with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral nuances from the limestone-dominated soils.

Vinification of Château Fontesteau Médoc Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc

This balanced red wine from France is vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. Here the vines sink their roots deep into limestone soils. After being harvested by hand, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the Cru Bourgeois Haut-Médoc from Château Fontesteau Médoc

This French wine pairs perfectly with a wide variety of dishes, but is also a pleasure to drink on its own.
