The roots of the wine company Cusumano were laid by the father, Francesco Cusumano, in the post-war years.

Cusumano - young, dynamic, innovative, Sicily
At the end of the 1990s the brothers Alberto and Diego Cusumano took over the renowned wine estate and, from the beginning of the new millennium, set in motion a remarkable success story and growth that within just a few years became exemplary for the dynamism and innovative spirit of the Sicilian wine industry. Over 500 hectares of vineyards in production at four locations in Sicily, two and a half million bottles sold per year, export of 50% of total production to more than 62 countries worldwide.

Cusumano - the many faces of Sicilian wines
Together with oenologist Mario Ronco, the project was launched in 2001. The company owns vineyards in four wine‑growing regions across the island of Sicily, each growing area featuring different characteristics in terms of climate, soil composition and grape varieties. The grape varieties are planted in the locations that are optimal for them and vinified under modern conditions in the new cellar. This is how the unique wines of Cusumano are created, whose complex and powerful fruit aromas bring the sun of Sicily into the glass.
- Ficuzza, 189 hectares, in Piana degli Albanesi, province of Palermo, vineyards at 800 m a.s.l.
- Presti e Pegni, 70 hectares on gently sloping hills of Monreale, with clay soils and favorable winds; among other wines, Noà is produced here
- San Giacomo, 140 hectares, in Butera, province of Caltanissetta, with white, calcareous, mineral‑rich soils, ideal for Nero d'Avola
- Milioto, 3 hectares in the area of Partinico, with sandy soils, ideal for the delicately fragrant Moscato
- Monte Pietroso, 30 hectares in the area of Monreale, with sandy and clayey mineral‑rich soils containing magnesium, calcium and potash, which give the wines elegance and complexity
- Marchesa, 50 hectares, in the area of Monreale; in the north the sandy soils offer ideal conditions for white wines, in the south the clayey soils are ideal for red wines
- Buonivini, 20 hectares in the wine‑growing area of Pachino in the warm south of Sicily, ideal for profound Syrah and Nero d'Avola
- Alta Mora, 18 hectares on the slopes of Mount Etna, with volcanic soils, for wines with a unique terroir character

Cusumano - a declaration of love to Sicily and its culture
"The best marketing we can do for our wines is to bring people to Sicily to discover the taste of Sicily, its aromas, its colors. All impressions that are then reflected in our wines." says Diego Cusumano in an interview with the Italian magazine Panorama.
The Cusumano logo
The logo of the Cusumanos unites the sun of Sicily and the courage of the lion of Sicily. The philosophy of the Cusumano brothers brings together the best that Sicily has to offer with its diversity of grape varieties and landscapes, traditional and artisanal production with innovation, high quality with strong authenticity, and creativity in communication.
Passion is reflected
The enthusiasm, experience and passion are all the more reflected in the outstanding wines of this top estate. The heart of the company is the new winery in Partinico near Palermo. In a restored old baglio, a typical Sicilian country estate, a complex has been created that brings together tradition, contemporary design and an innovative spirit and at the same time becomes a place of communication, with an event area and tasting facilities.
