Tackling across generations

The Fidesser winery in Lower Austria is cared for on a daily basis by three generations of the family. While Gerda and Norbert manage the day-to-day business, grandparents Grete and Rudolf support with their experience. The next generation is already ready with Sophie and Rudi, who are currently training in wine marketing and viticulture.

Wines from the best regions of Austria

The Weinviertel region north of Vienna is one of Austria's best-known wine-growing areas, offering hot summers and mild winters with little snow. The Fidessers' vineyards are located near Platt in the western Weinviertel, as well as near Obernhalb near Retz. The cultivation at Fidesser is completely biodynamic, no synthetic pesticides are used. A healthy soil fauna is thus preserved and benefits the resistance of the vines.
