More information about La Chapelle Minervois - Chateau de Tholomies
The barrel-aged La Chapelle Minervois from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc offers itself in the glass in dense purple. As if that wasn't already impressive, the aging in large wooden barrels adds other aromas such as beech smoke, gingerbread spice and air-dried ham.
The Chateau de Tholomies La Chapelle Minervois presents itself to the connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the upper price range. This fleshy red wine is full-bodied and multi-layered on the palate. The finale of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc, more precisely from Minervois, finally thrilled with considerable reverberation.
Vinification of the Chateau de Tholomies La Chapelle Minervois
The basis for the powerful La Chapelle Minervois from the Languedoc are grapes from the grape varieties Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The grapes for this red wine from France, when perfectly ripe, are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day to preserve their aromas. After harvesting, the grapes immediately enter the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
