More information about Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel - Ironstone Vineyards
The powerful Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel from Ironstone Vineyards flows into the glass with a dense ruby-red hue. With a little time in the glass, this red wine from the USA reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of blackberry, raspberry and plum, rounded off with pepper.
The Ironstone Vineyards Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine drinker. This red wine never appears coarse or austere, but rather round and silky. Thanks to its present acidity, the Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel appears impressively fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this well-ageable red wine from the California region finally delights with a beautiful length. Once again, hints of plum and blackberry appear.
Vinification of the Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel from Ironstone Vineyards
This powerful red wine from the USA is vinified from the grape varieties Durif, Teroldego and Zinfandel. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
