The Lytton Springs Zinfandel from Ridge Vineyards shines deep dark in the glass. It convinces with its vibrant aroma of dark berry fruits such as blackberries and black currants, complemented with subtle nuances of tobacco box. An intense black berry fruit with structured tannins characterizes the attack in the mouth. The deep palate with firm, lively acidity is supported by a full body. Multi-layered flavors of mint, coffee, some fennel and toasted oak notes emerge on the complex palate, leading to a long, intense finish.

Production Process Lytton Springs Zinfandel by Ridge Vineyards

The grapes for this Lytton Springs Zinfandel come from Lytton Springs Vineyard and have been in production since 1972. The grapes are carefully destemmed and fermented with the winery's own yeasts. It ages for up to 14 months in American oak barrels. About 35% of these are new barrels.
