The powerful Malahi red wine from the house of Maran flows into the glass with a dense purple-red color. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which shows in the church windows on the glass wall. In the glass, this wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of blackberries and plums. Added to this are hints of blackcurrant.
On the palate, Malahi red wine from Maran starts off pleasantly aromatic, fruit-driven, and balanced. On the finish, this youthful red wine from the Vayots Dzor region finally delights with a lovely length. Once again, hints of blackberry and plum appear.
Vinification of Malahi red wine from Maran
The basis for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Malahi red wine cuvée from Maran are Khndogni, Areni, and Malbec grapes. After being hand-picked, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the powerful Malahi red wine is matured for another 6 months in oak barrels.
