MAN Vintners is the project of José Conde and the brothers Tyrrel and Philip Myburgh. The estate is located in the famous wine-growing region of Stellenbosch, north of the town of the same name.

MAN Vintners - everything for women
The name MANisan acronym of the first names of the wives of the three founders - Marie, Anetteand Vicky. José and the brothers used the name as an excuse to say that they were always busy on weekends, but that it was all for their wives. Thus the family peace was restored (for the time being).
The philosophy, which pursues the three heads behind MAN Vintners, is the production of inexpensive wines with high quality and appealing optics. Since 2001, the Myburgh brothers have been active in winemaking, and they also own the Myburgh Bros. Wines brand.

Grape varieties of the MAN Vintners estate
Seven different grape varieties are currently grown by MAN Vintners, three whites and four reds:
- Chenin Blanc
- Sauvignon Blanc
- Chardonnay
- Merlot
- Pinotage
- Syrah
- Cabernet Sauvignon
In the beginning, just 300 cases of MAN were produced, all in a tractor garage. Now the annual volume is 250,000 cases and the wines are exported to 25 countries around the world.

The brains behind MAN Vintners
Most of the day-to-day winery work is done by Tyrrel, whose philosophy degree he says"comes in handy when cleaning the tanks." His brother Philip, the supposedly"smarter and better looking" of the two, brings the legal knowledge and public perception with parties at the estate house, while José Conde, owner of the Stark-Condé estate and much-traveled in America and Japan, has always wished"to live somewhere in a small town at the tip of Africa." He brings expertise to MAN wines with his multiple awards for his wines.
