The family behind Marqués de Murrieta Estates and Wines approaches its daily work with a high level of professionalism. The two leading siblings take as their role model their parents - Chus Suárez-Llanos and Vicente Cebrián-Sagarriga. Thanks to their tireless work in viticulture, Marqués de Murrieta is today where it is - among the leaders of Spanish viticulture.

... Roja - Ygay Estate

Inseparable from the history of DOCa Rioja is Marqués de Murrieta. The history of the winery begins in 1852 when the first wine of Marqués de Murrieta was produced in Logroño. in 1870 the moved to the Ygay Estate, located in the heart of Rioja. This estate is surrounded by 300 hectares of vineyards.
In 1983, the Cebrián-Sagarriga family took over ownership of the Ygay Estate and began a major restoration in 2007. 2014 was the year the doors reopened.

The wines are of high quality and give the connoisseur Spanish joie de vivre with every sip. You can also enjoy:

Surrounded by 12 hectares of Albariño vines, the historic Pazo de Barrantes estate, dating back to 1511, is located in the D.O. Rías Baixas in the Salnés Valley. This estate embodies the continuity of the spirit of the Rioja winery founded by Marques de Murrieta.
