Maximin Grünhaus Castle

The Maximin Grünhaus vineyard is located at the foot of a long, steep southern slope on the left bank of the Ruwer River, about 2 km from where the Ruwer flows into the Moselle. The rounded and self-contained vineyard site Maximin Grünhaus represents with its monopollages Abtsberg, Herrenberg and Bruderberg wines that unmistakably represent their origin and terroir and impressively bring them into the glass.

Three monopollages in one fell swoop - Maximin Grünhaus

A monopollage is something extraordinary for any winery, after all it means that the winemaker can claim sole ownership and management of this site. This is very rare, not only in Germany, and at Maximin Grünhaus it exists three times.
