More information about Grünhäuser Riesling Alte Reben feinherb - Maximin Grünhaus
The Riesling Alte Reben from Maximin Grünhaus of the Moselle presents a brilliant, light yellow color in the glass. After the first swirl, this white wine is characterized by a delightful lightness that makes it dance jauntily in the glass. This single varietal German wine reveals wonderfully expressive notes of nectarines, lemons, grapefruit and vineyard peach in the glass. These are joined by hints of other fruits.
On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied white wine is wonderfully crisp. The finish of this white wine from the Mosel wine-growing region finally delights with a beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the slate-dominated soils.
Vinification of the Riesling Old Vines from Maximin Grünhaus
The basis for the elegant Riesling Alte Reben from Mosel are grapes from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions on the Mosel. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of slate. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in 1000 liter oak barrels.
