More information about Merlot - Le Petit Fermier
With Le Petit Fermier Merlot, a first-class organic red wine finds its way into the glass. It reveals a wonderfully dense, purple-red color. The first nose of the Merlot reveals black cherries, blueberries, and plums. In addition to the fruity aspects of the bouquet, more fruity-balsamic nuances join in.
This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with 8.7 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this Frenchman enchants with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine presents itself as wonderfully smooth and velvety. Thanks to its lively acidity, the Merlot appears delightfully fresh and vibrant on the palate. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Languedoc wine region ultimately impresses with a beautiful length. Once again, hints of morello cherry and black cherry appear.
Vinification of Le Petit Fermier Merlot
This powerful red wine from France is organically vinified from the Merlot grape variety. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Merlot can continue to harmonize for a few months on the fine lees.
