Château Mukhrani – Georgian wine tradition meets French elegance

The Château Mukhrani is located in the historic region of Kartli, about 50 kilometers from the capital Tbilisi. The winery was founded in the 19th century by Prince Ivane Mukhraneli, a descendant of the Georgian royal family, and is considered the first château of the country. Inspired by French wine castles, he combined French cellar techniques with native Georgian grape varieties – a union that continues to stand for exceptional quality today.

Today, Château Mukhrani is one of Georgia's leading premium producers. The combination of traditional Qvevri wine production (fermentation in clay amphorae) and modern winery technology results in wines that are authentic, elegant, and deeply rooted in their origin.

Kartli is the historic and geographical center of Georgia. The climate is temperate continental with warm summers and cool winters – ideal conditions for viticulture. The soils consist of limestone-clay and alluvial terraces, giving the wines structure and mineral character.
