More information about 1851 Muskateller Sekt trocken - Weingut Kiefer

The 1851 Muskateller Sekt trocken vom Weingut Kiefer is a stimulating, lively and finely bubbly sparkling wine from the German wine-growing region of Kaiserstuhl in Baden.

In the glass, this wine shines a bright gold with sparkling highlights. The perlage rises to the surface in ceaseless, fine strings of pearls. The nose is skillfully entered by a bouquet typical of the grape variety. Fine spicy nuances, floral hints and aromas of lychee and mango unfold. The palate is won over by this German sparkling wine with its lively, buoyant personality and a delightfully fine tingle.

Vinification of the Kiefer Sekt Muskateller

The Weingut Kiefer attaches great importance to the vinification of their sparkling wines. Therefore, only base wines that have undergone malolactic fermentation are selected. The muscatel grapes grow in a protected cauldron location on loess soils and volcanic weathered rock.

Once the classic bottle fermentation is complete, the sparkling wines continue to age in Kiefer's cellar before this sparkling wine leaves the winery.
