More information about Champagner Prélude Brut - Champagne Taittinger

The Champagne Prélude Brut from the Champagne wine-growing region presents itself in the glass in a brilliantly shimmering golden yellow. The mousse of this Champagne sparkles in the glass with an extremely fine, elegant and long-lasting effervescence. After the first swirl, this sparkling wine is characterized by a wonderful lightness that makes it dance lively in the glass. In the glass, this sparkling wine from Champagne Taittinger presents aromas of Mon Chéri cherry, orange blossom, lime, forest fruit jam and kumquats, complemented by walnut, braided yeast bun and cream caramel. Champagne Taittinger’s Champagne Prélude Brut is the right choice for all wine lovers who like as little residual sugar in their wine as possible. At the same time, it never appears meager or austere, but round and smooth. On the palate, this light-footed sparkling wine is marked by an exceptionally silky texture. On the finish, this wine from the Champagne region delights with considerable length. Once again, nuances of lime and grapefruit appear.

Vinification of Champagne Taittinger Champagne Prélude Brut

The basis for the first-class and wonderfully elegant Champagne Prélude Brut cuvée from Champagne Taittinger is Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. Of course, Champagne Prélude Brut is also shaped by the climatic and stylistic factors of Champagne. In the best sense of the word, this French wine can be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an exceptionally impressive way. At optimal ripeness, the grapes for Champagne Prélude Brut are harvested exclusively by hand, without the use of coarse and unselective mechanical harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently pressed. This is followed by the fermentation of the base wines. After the cuvée has been assembled, further maturation takes place based on bottle aging. Afterwards, Champagne Taittinger Champagne Prélude Brut ages for several months in the bottle and is then disgorged.

Food recommendation for Champagne Taittinger Champagne Prélude Brut

This French sparkling wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8–10°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompaniment to omelet with salmon and fennel, asparagus salad with quinoa, or coconut-lime fish curry.
