Primus Malbec - Bodegas Salentein

The Salentein Primus from Bodegas Salentein is a single varietal Mendoza Malbec that is deep ruby red with purple highlights and an almost black core in the glass. The bouquet of this Argentine red wine is reminiscent of dark fruits such as blackberries, blueberries, black currants and elderberries. It is complemented by subtle nuances of barrel aging that bring to mind winter spices such as cinnamon, vanilla and clove.

When the Salentein Primus Malbec finally reaches the palate, it enraptures with great richness, soft but wonderfully present tannins and fresh, vital fruit acidity. An excellently structured wine with outstanding length and balance.

Vinification for the Primus Malbec from Bodegas Salentein

This single varietal Malbec fermented in large wooden barrels before being aged for 14-16 months in new French barriques. The Primus Malbec was not filtered before bottling.
