Pleasant in the mouth, red fruit aroma, without being too alcoholic. I like.

More information about Saint Joseph Les Capelets AOP - Pierre Amadieu

The light-footed Saint Joseph Les Capelets from Pierre Amadieu shimmers into the glass with brilliant purple. If you give it some air by swirling, this red wine is characterized by a wonderful brilliance that makes it dance nimbly in the glass. The nose of this red wine from the Rhône Valley delights with aromas of lilac, rose, mulberry and black currant. If we trace the aromatics further, cocoa bean, black tea and cinnamon come in, enhanced by the oak influence.

The Pierre Amadieu Saint Joseph Les Capelets presents itself to the connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine premium and site wine segment. Light-footed and complex, this velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this well storable from the wine region the Rhône Valley finally thrilled with beautiful length. Again, hints of blueberry and blackberry show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the slate-dominated soils join in.

Vinification of the Saint Joseph Les Capelets by Pierre Amadieu

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Syrah. Only the best grapes were harvested for this wonderfully elegant single varietal wine from Pierre Amadieu. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rhône Valley. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of shale. Saint Joseph Les Capelets is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive swiftly at the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
