Terre di Campo Sasso

The wines of Terre di Campo Sasso write a steady success story. Within a few years they have become one of the most important red wines in the specialized trade and have convinced in numerous comparative tastings. The great renaissance of southern Italian wines manifests itself in these wines.

Terre di Camposasso has developed from a fragile beginning into an important joint project of ambitious oenologists and regional winemakers from southern Italy. In Puglia, more than 150 winemaking families now participate in the project. Old, semi-derelict vineyards have been rehabilitated, raised and are now farmed in a natural way. The winegrowers, mostly farmers with only very small plots, supply the grapes from their vines, some of which are over 50 years old. In Puglia, these are old vines of Primitivo and Negroamaro. The best seller here is the Primtivio IGT. A great expression of the original terroir is Primitivo di Manduria, vinified from a selection of special and older vineyards.
