More information about The Ned Chardonnay - Marisco

The powerful The Ned Chardonnay Marisco comes into the glass with a dense golden yellow. If you give it some air by swirling, so poured into a white wine glass, this white wine from New Zealand offers wonderfully expressive aromas of nectarine, nashi pear, peach and pear, rounded off by other fruity nuances.

On the palate, the The Ned Chardonnay from Marisco opens pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. There are dry and really dry. This white wine belongs to the second group, because it was vinified with only 0.9 g of residual sugar. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the The Ned Chardonnay flatters the palate with a pleasing feel, without lacking juicy liveliness at the same time.

Vinification of the Marisco The Ned Chardonnay

This wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Chardonnay. Only first-class grapes were harvested for this exceptionally powerful varietal wine from Marisco. On New Zealand's South Island, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of sandstone and gravel. Due to the balancing influence of the nearby river, the grapes ripen more slowly and develop more aromatic partiality. The ripeness of the grapes for this Chardonnay wine is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In New Zealand South Island, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and uniform grapes and a rather moderate must weight. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the The Ned Chardonnay are harvested particularly quickly and at the coolest possible time of day to preserve their aromas. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately sent to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the The Ned Chardonnay can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 9 months....

Food recommendation for the Marisco The Ned Chardonnay
