More information about The Stump Jump GSM - d'Arenberg

The Stump Jump GSM from d'Arenberg in the Australian wine-growing region of McLaren Vale in South Australia is a spicy, harmonious and multi-faceted red wine cuvée vinified from the Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre grape varieties.

In the glass, this wine shimmers in a deep ruby color with cherry-red highlights. The Shiraz offers dark plums, mulberries and licorice with plenty of concentration, depth and velvety tannins. The Grenache provides a delightfully juicy feel with raspberries, blueberries and floral notes. Both of the aforementioned grape varieties also give this Australian red wine a slightly white-peppery character that makes this wine particularly interesting. The Mourvedre gives the Stump Jump GSM lovely red fruit aromas with hints of dried herbs, as well as fine, chalky tannins that linger into the long, delicious finish.

Food Recommendation for the d'Arenberg Stump Jump GSM

Enjoy this dry red wine from Australia with tamari tofu burgers, gnocchi with vegetables, savory tartes, rolled roasts, beef steaks, lamb kebabs.

The name Stump Jump

... is a tribute to an important South Australian invention - the Stump Jump plow. Used both in McLaren Vale and around the world, this time and effort saving implement came into use in the late 19th century due to its ability to drive over tree stumps and gnarled roots.
