From horses to wine - in 1912, Joseph Osborn parted with his beloved racehorses in order to use the proceeds to acquire what is now the family winery d'Arenberg.
The heart and soul of Australian wine - d'Arenberg Winery
For four generations now, the winery has still been run by the Osborn family. Chester Osborn is the current Chief Winemaker and enchants wine lovers all over the world with distinctive wines made using traditional methods.
The name d'Arenberg is dedicated to the mother - Helena d'Arenberg - of the current owner Francis "d'Arry" Osborn.

The colorful d'Arenberg wine portfolio
The portfolio of d'Arenberg wines ranges across the Australian classics

The vineyards in McLaren Vale
At d'Arenberg, each vineyard has its own personality, cultivated with minimal intervention in the natural conditions. McLaren Vale is located 45 minutes from Adelaide and offers 30 kilometers of breathtaking coastline and more than 70 cellar doors. This wine-growing region is home to some of the oldest vines in the country, dating back to 1850. The proximity to the sea, the diversity of soil types, and the Mediterranean climate make it an idyllic place for viticulture and the home of d'Arenberg.

First Families of Wine
A change swept through the Australian wine landscape in 2009. Twelve of the oldest family-run, multi-generational wine companies in Australia joined forces to form the First Families of Wine - among them d'Arenberg. Together they have travelled the world to share their stories. Of success and failure - experience and commitment - and ultimately also of passion.
Award-winning and with food since 2017
d'Arenberg is among the most renowned estates in Australia. Every year the winery and its wines receive countless awards. Since 14 December 2017, the restaurant d'Arenberg Cube has also opened its doors. Not only the architecture is worth seeing - the fine dishes with matching d'Arenberg wines are also a delight.
