More information about The Stump Jump White - d'Arenberg

The Stump Jump White from d'Arenberg from the Australian wine-growing region McLaren Vale is a complex, fruity and balanced white wine cuvée, vinified from the grape varieties Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Marsanne and Rousanne.

In the glass this wine shines in a light yellow hue. On the nose this cuvée reveals a whole basket of fruit aromas. Lime and other citrus nuances are primarily perceptible. The Sauvignon is restrained, yet still clearly noticeable with tropical fruits and a very fine hint of herbs. The Rhône partners Marsanne and Rousanne leave an enormous impression. With stone fruit, melon, papaya and raw almonds they provide depth and complexity. The palate of this Australian white wine, with its opulent fruit and sumptuous mouthfeel, is balanced by a nicely integrated acidity.

Food recommendation for d'Arenberg The Stump Jump White

This dry white wine from Australia pairs excellently with a hearty minestrone, a robust bouillabaisse and steamed sea fish.

The name Stump Jump

... is a homage to an important South Australian invention – the stump jump plough. In McLaren Vale as well as worldwide, this time- and energy-saving tool came into use in the late 19th century, thanks to its ability to ride over tree stumps and gnarled roots.
