More information about Sauvignon Gris Marlborough - Brancott Estate

In the glass, the Sauvignon Gris Marlborough from Brancott Estate reveals a dense pale yellow color. To the nose, this Brancott Estate white wine reveals all sorts of lemons, limes, mirabelles, physalis and oranges.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 4 grams of residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine in the upper price range, this New Zealander naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this punchy white wine is characterized by an incredibly melt-in-your-mouth texture. Due to the balanced fruit acid, the Sauvignon Gris Marlborough flatters with a soft palate feeling, without lacking freshness at the same time. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of New Zealand South Island, more precisely from Marlborough, finally thrilled with good reverberation.

Vinification of the Brancott Estate Sauvignon Gris Marlborough

The powerful Sauvignon Gris Marlborough from New Zealand is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles. Once the wine is finished, the Sauvignon Gris Marlborough is carefully harmonized.

Food recommendation to the Brancott Estate Sauvignon Gris Marlborough

This white wine from New Zealand is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to stir-fried vegetables with fish, spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto or leek soup.
