More information about Tinta Barocca - Allesverloren Estate

In the glass, this red wine from Allesverloren Estate reveals aromas of blackberries, plum muse, forest fruit confit, mulberries and black currants, complemented by oak, vanilla and cocoa bean. The Tinta Barocca from Allesverloren Estate is perfect for all wine lovers who like as little residual sugar in their wine as possible. However, it never shows itself barren or brittle, but round and smooth. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Due to the moderate fruit acidity, the Tinta Barocca flatters the palate with a pleasing feel, without lacking juicy liveliness at the same time. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region Coastal Region finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of wild berry confit and black currant show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by slate and sandstone join in.

Vinification of the Allesverloren Estate Tinta Barocca

This powerful red wine from South Africa is made from the Tinta Barroca grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Coastal Region. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of shale and sandstone. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for 18 months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Tinta Barocca from Allesverloren Estate

Drink this red wine from South Africa ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes, roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or leek soup.
