More information about 1685 Chardonnay - Boschendal

With the Boschendal 1685 Chardonnay, a first-class white wine comes into the swirled glass. In this it offers a wonderfully dense, golden yellow color. This varietal South African wine shows in the glass wonderfully distinguished and complex notes of lime, guava, kumquats and mangoes. These are joined by hints of cocoa bean, vanilla and oriental spices.

This South African wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 4 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this South African naturally enchants with finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily require residual sugar. With its lively fruit acidity, the 1685 Chardonnay is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this youthful from the Coastal winegrowing region finally thrills with beautiful length. There are again hints of gooseberry and lemongrass.

Vinification of the 1685 Chardonnay from Boschendal

The powerful 1685 Chardonnay from South Africa is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Chardonnay grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Food recommendation for the 1685 Chardonnay from Boschendal

Enjoy this white wine from South Africa best moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C as an accompanying wine to baked feta cheese parcels, Thai cucumber salad or fruity endive salad.
