Vinification of Altos de Losada Bierzo from Finca Losada

The powerful Altos de Losada Bierzo from Spain is a varietal wine, vinified from the Mencia grape variety. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly brought to the winery. There they are selected and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barriques.
